What to Expect
Every SunnaTan experience begins with a brief consultation. Our goal is to ensure your skin looks naturally sun kissed. Your one-of-a-kind SunnaTan solution is custom-blended for your skin type, tone & preference.
What to Wear
During your Tan Some clients choose to go nude and some wear underwear or a swimsuit during their spray tan. Men must wear a thong, boxers or shorts. Please note that whatever you wear, you will have tan-lines.
We Take Care of all the Prep
Your palms, feet, lips, cuticles, and elbows will be carefully prepped with organic barrier lotions and oils to prevent any unnatural colouring. As you are being spray tanned, you’ll be instructed to move into a few easy poses to ensure perfect coverage, following the natural lines and composition of your body.
Avoid Water and Skin-to-Skin Contact
Treat your new spray tan with caution during development. Steer clear of sweating and water exposure, and refrain from touching or scratching your body until your instructed shower time.
Shower at Your Designated Rinse Time
Rinse with cool water at your assigned shower time. Do not wear the solution for longer than the time your technician has instructed. Always pat dry, and do not rub when exiting the shower.
Use Tan-Safe Products
Maintain your tan’s longevity and even fade by using high-quality, spray tan-safe products, including body washes and moisturizers. Apply Tan Extend Lotion Daily Keep your spray tan glowing with Tan Extend lotion, featuring a blend of naturally hydrating ingredients and DHA to promote healthy skin and gradual color development.
Your Spray Tan is Only Temporary
To minimize premature fading and uneven color, avoid excessive shaving, sweating, hot showers, baths, and exposure to saltwater and chlorine.
Schedule Other Services First
Schedule services like hair, nails, waxing, facials, and massages at least two days before your spray tan. This prevents any residues from these services that might compromise your tan.
Exfoliate Before Your Appointment
Use a spa-grade exfoliator one day before your tan to gently exfoliate. Ensure all shaving is completed to remove dead skin cells and leave your skin fresh and renewed.
Stay Hydrated, Inside and Out
Hydration is key to a long-lasting tan. Drink plenty of water and replenish your skin with a quality moisturizer several times per day leading up to your appointment.
Arrive With Clean Skin
If necessary, shower with water only—no soaps—hours before the tan to remove lotions, makeup, perfumes, and deodorants which cause uneven development.
Wear Loose-Fitting Clothing
Bring loose, dark-colored cotton pants and a shirt to dress into after your appointment while your spray tan develops. Avoid leggings, close-toed shoes, bras, and other restrictive clothing.
